US Casey K's Tarantulas Review

I ordered my very first T's from Casey K. last week, and requested to have them sent the following Wednesday so that I could receive them on Thursday (today) when I'd be off work.
Both T's arrived safe and sound around 11:30am this morning. They were packed very well with a cool pack, and they look quite healthy.
As my first ever unboxing and rehousing of T's, I was expecting a few hiccups getting them situated, but it went surprisingly well - perfectly, actually.
Thank you Casey K. for my T's! I can tell I'm already addicted.

just got my Ts from casey P solaris female, P subfosa highland and she even included a great freebie H pulchripes!!! very happy, sadly do to a shipping delay outside of our control my highland came in DOA but casey has been great in helping me out even agreeing to send me a spider worth more then the original cost very pleased
Late review, purchased some spiders from her October of 2020. Agreed to ship overnight on a package deal. Instead she shipped priority. Mind you the ETA was Thursday, shipped Monday. Spiders ended up comming wensday. Our temps have been dipping below 40. No box packaging it was all just soft packed. All Ts made it initaly but about to loose the last one on this order. If any one is intrested I do have the unboxing vid. Do bussiness with caution would not recomend.

I gave you a freebie because i couldn't ship express at that point in time. Your temps were 43-52°f which does not require a heat pack. Also, what do you mean that you are about to lose one on your order? Your spiders have survived this long but somehow it's my packaging that is fixing to make it die??? That makes no sense whatsoever. An "odd leg" on a tarantula isn't gonna make it die. You can't blame the "fixing to be loss" of a tarantula on me several months after receiving them. That can be any factor not limited to but including your husbandry playing a role. You can't please everyone, I suppose.

you screwed me on shipping that is a fact. we had a deal to ship express. if you could not have shipped it you should have contacted me. instead you stiffed me on shipping. You didn't even have the common decency use a box... a god dam box.... i dont get why since you already shipped it priority it wouldn't even have costed any extra to used a priorty box rather then a bag. Order consisted of a P ornata, B Albiceps. and freebe C elegans. c elegans died with in a month, molted and died. i though well these guys are small and slings have a higher death rate. Oranta made it 2 molts, didnt pop out of the last molt, i wont say anything on that. but the B. albiceps wet molted, all its joints are bleeding, sure deaths can happen its just nature i understand that. But when you are 0/3 and shipped like crap i call BS. If any one believes shipping it this is acceptable your out of your mind. Ts wraped up in a soft packaged going through USPS priority, no excuse. you got cheap.

You blame her for something that could have happened regardless the circumstances? You take that risks with slings and yes bad things can happen but the fact your P.ornata molted once with no issue and molted a 2nd time wrong is not Casey's fault.
The albicepes was hurt from shipping even she said so her self. I'm not pissed that they die, they are animal's. But when they are shipped like this and you think thats not a worthy reason for a review that's on you. What part of we had a deal to ship over night and stuffed me don't you get? And I don't blame the onata death on her, it was a stuck molt, **** happens. I blame her for not holding up to her end of the deal and shipping it like how we agreed. Let me ask you this, if you got this package would you have been happy? No box, just a usups priority envelope wrapped package? She said so her self that she added in the freebe to compensate for not shipping it over night. Which means she has the time and made the decision. In the end it is what it is. Take away what you will. Blame her or not on the T deaths I don't rely care dude that's you.

You could have shipped it like we had agreed, you didn't even use a box? Am I asking too much? A box.... and the shipping we agreed upon? I don't get it Casey, you have good reviews, and a good presence in the community... yet you shipped like this to me? I rely don't get it. Even if you couldn't honor the price we agreed upon you should have contacted me to make other arrangements. I'm not blaming the death on you, I blame you for not holding up to our agreement. **** happens they are living animals I get that. I just don't get why you didn't even pack them in a box.... you didn't even give them a chance with your poor shipping.

Just chiming in to say my T’s from Casey K. were also shipped in soft packaging; the medicine bottles the T’s were in were very well protected and insulated with additional soft bags, and the bottles had moist paper towels around them plus a cold pack was inserted to combat any rising temps.
They arrived safe and sound overnight.

I ship all of my smaller tarantulas like this. I have shipped hundreds with no issue. A tarantula having an "odd" leg as you described it doesn't compensate for a death months later. If a leg is that bad it will detach it itself and regenerate a new one. I told you I didn't ship express and that I sent you a freebie to compensate for that. If you had issues with the way I shipped to you back when I TOLD YOU I WASN'T SHIPPING EXPRESS AND THAT I HAD TO SHIP PRIORITY then you should've told me 9 MONTHS AGO!!!!! Instead, you bring up your issues with me now, 9 months later. 9 MONTHS LATER when you could've addressed it 9 MONTHS AGO. I can post our private messages and not once did you mention any issues with shipping 9 months ago after I stated that I gave you a freebie to compensate!!!!

Also, you didn't PAY for shipping costs!!! I agreed to do $300 SHIPPED. MEANING, I FACTOR IN SHIPPING WITH COST OF SPIDERS AND PAY OUT OF MY POCKET. Yes, I did agree to ship express but I told you I couldn't so I threw in a freebie and you were fine with it. I never screwed YOU on anything.
Oh OK I'm sorry for the misunderstanding aparently after I paid you 300, which you said you would ship express it meant you could choose what ever shipping you wanted and it was OK. I even asked you to make sure it was express. You know the reason I never wrote this 9 months ago was I expected it to go as well as this, you have a big presence here my review means nothing people will take your side so do what you will . Yes but YOU never paid the shipping. You purchased the tarantulas only AND at a DISCOUNTED PRICE. PLUS I THREW IN A FREEBIE VALUED AT $70-80 ON TOP OF IT JUST TO COVER FOR NOT SHIPPING EXPRESS. Oh and BTW, when shipping EXPRESS, It takes 1-2 days for the package to arrive. Your package was shipped PRIORITY BUT STILL ARRIVED WITHIN EXPRESS SHIPPING TIME. ONLY 48 HOURS OR LESS WHEN IT ARRIVED ON A WEDNESDAY. SO GUESS WHAT? YOU STILL RECEIVED YOUR SPIDERS IN EXPRESS SHIPPING TIME.

You received all the spiders you asked for and you think one may die 9 months after receiving it because she used bubble pack instead of cardboard? Am I summing this up correctl?
I am writing this now becouse the last T form her will die soon. I've never seen a T molt out with bleeding almost all her knees and survuve. This review is not to blame her for deaths because you know **** happens with Ts I won't pin deaths on her on her. Like stated above my salt for this review is as followed.
1. We agreed to a price shipped overnight, she did not honor our shipping agreement and shipped priority. Classic bait and switch
2. Poor shipping practices, a usps bag is not a substitution for an actual well insulated box.
Do what you will with the information take her side for all I care. Personaly I thought about writing this back in October but I felt like I would have had major back lash on here due to her overwhelming presence. Once this T took a turn for the worse I decided I didn't care if I got kicked out fourm fourm I'll say waht I feel. Gl taranrula fourm.
