Hi pps
If I do not respond to "certain"people is due to the fact that I cannot repeat myself over and over regarding the same statement hence the beauty of the " ignore" button :) so if I dnt reply that means I cannot see your comment :) also a waist of my time and don't see it fit for for a lengthy argument Perused and taken off topic as always. this is a nice forum and I will avoid "idiotic"questions and stick to the point. Ok all said and done now where is those pics he he he

That is very nice Martin and size is a personal choice yes you are correct. I'll just post my P metallica communal with 11 metallica in and size of enclosure is 1.2 mx500mmx500mm. The smaller the enclosure the easier to ambush their prey/food

In this communal setup of P metallica there are 11 @ 5 cm or now bigger as all have molted since lol. Look at the size of the hollow bark hide from outside the enclosure and close up so u can see the actual size. Hope u like :)

No matter what anybody says any communal comes with risk just make sure you "gauge"temp and how often they feed and make food available at least twice a week :) communal will do well then.

This statement still stands.

Hello
Something I'd like to add, when I speak of the size of enclosure this does not apply to communal species. I do apologize for not explaining that, it being said I will explain why the size matters to ME and some others.

With tank size, why I dislike that if its too big. In nature you have insects or food sources that are readily available that inhabit the close proximity of the spider. In our setups its not natural, so in the wild they'd have say 1000 insects inhabiting close proximity where we would add say one feeder in proximity. To make it easy I try to use an enclosure that's not too large, look at my reasoning behind this. Its like say putting one pokie in a 100 liter tank compared to another in a 50 won't the one in the 50 find food easier ? Just an example, if I'm wrong in this reasoning I would understand sensible reasons as to why.

Here is my statement again, also find attached a photo of a Avicularia Azuraklaasi I received 2 days ago it has already webbed up and eaten twice. So I am sorry, those who believe bigger is better or floor space compared to height I disagree.

Just added my Avicularia Purpurea sling eating.

As you can see, they web up and eat = happy Tarantula.

Ahh thank you:) yes I've put allot of time into my enclosures. I've had about 5 metallica sacks in the last year lol . It's not a difficult species to breed I think, but others struggle I guess it's just the effort one puts in and proper design of enclosures.
