I need some more advice haha!! Nerris keeps climbing her tank at the moment and is currently as high as she can get. I am just waiting for her substrate to come for the new tank but I am so afraid that she is going to fall and hurt herself in the mean time. Is there any reason she is doing this now? Could it be the heat? Should I make sure there is a bit more of a damp area? I'm so confused haha

Is this a new enclosure? If so, this is normal behavior. She's just checking it out and settling in. If it is not new to her check for excessive heat, cold, drafts, humidity. etc...

Rosies like it dry. Overfilling her bowl once a week or so will be fine. She should be happy with room temp.

No it's the enclosure she has had since I got her. Just seems really interested with getting as high in the tank as possible. Her substrate for the new tank is in the post and should be with me any time soon, then I will be transferring her into her new tank. She won't have to be moved again as it will be plenty big enough for her as she grows. It has been quite hot here recently but I've made sure to give her plenty of water, overfilling it and where her tank sits, gives her some sunlight and there is always some shade for her too.

I'd keep her out of the light. T's try to avoid it. Room temp it typically fine. If you are comfy, she is comfy.

I would like a chance to express my love of all things rose haired! I have been nuts about these t's since looking after a friends one called yogi around twenty years ago. I acquired my first t "pink floyd" soon after and have several rosie companions since. I have found my rose hairs to be sweet, clever and in some cases pretty cheeky not to mention beautiful. I know there are lots of fans on here so feel free to post pics of your chile t here!

My Rosie has a small patch same exact spot as yours. But she is super active, a voracious eater....I didn't think much of it. Been like that for 2 weeks...She doesn't show signs of molting yet...but also shows zero signs of bad health...I sort of don't understand it either...in one picture i posted like 2 posts up you can sorta make it out in the one picture on the right.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on her. She is still moving plenty, just not eating. I've just moved her into a new tank so wanted to give her some time to settle in.

She looks fine, This happens with a lot of My t's. Maybe She flicks hairs and has Just worn herself a bald patch. And dont worry If She goes off her food, rosies go on hunger strike but They get There appetite back in the end.
