Ok. That's what the guy at the pet store told me after I told him the light might stress him out. So I'll swing by petco and get a red light :)

I just turn in onto one if its ends, add a partition to the bottom so substrate won't fall out. If its a critter keeper, the lid snaps on so no worries there. If not, I buy hinges and so on to covert the lid to a door. I use a silicon that'd safe for marine animals, which would be better for T's as well.

That tank is high enough for your spider no need to convert it to anything. It just pretty big for the spider.
Just give your spider a hide up in the branches or piece of bark against the glass so it can hide away, this way it will feel saver and maybe even start spinning a lot sooner.
at the moment that is a massive space for the spider and it will be unsure of it surroundings.
You could even through a towel over the cage to make it dark.

I put a towel over it.
I made it so the lamp does not touch it.
And now I had one question. Can she still get air even through the towels on? The humidity is going up quite a bit with the towel on.

Hello Jake
So you say its not needed to convert that or at least get an enclosure that has more height than floor space ? Seeing it won't utilize the floor space at all.

No, fire hazard.
You can close the cage with cardboard or news paper just on the sides, an leave the top open it is just to make the spider feel secure for the mean time can remove the papers once she has made a hide.
