    I love molts!

My T. gigas and B. smithi molted a few days ago on the same day which was a nice surprise, A genic. and E. cyanognathus both molted without me knowing they were in pre-molt and last night my Cyclosternum pentalore molted. It's showing adult coloring now, but this little thing puts on little size...

My 4-legged tarantula has begun molting

Checked on the T's today to find Io, my Avicularia versicolor who cast four of her legs and palp off her previous molt, is molting now. I am so worried for this little one, but very hopeful that she will be able to shed properly despite no limbs on her left side. She's made it this far, so we'll...

    Rehousing tips

Hey guys. So I'm having some concern about how to rehouse my Nhandu chromatus sling. Above is his enclosure, and as you can see, he has a very deep burrow. I am going rehouse him in another molt but I don't know how to get him out. Sometimes he's out on the surface but will dart back into the...

    Terrestrial prolific webbers

Can anyone give me some suggestions of terrestrial tarantulas, preferably NW, that are prolific webbers? I have recently begun to realize that I adore species that just fill their enclosures with webbing like my H. sp Columbia, GBB and Cyclosternum pentalore. Any other species that I should...

    G. pulchra slings at PetCenterUSA

I felt inclined to make a post about this with all of the threads lately about wanting Grammostola pulchra's. Well, Paul just got some in stock! There's a large quantity so hopefully they'll last. :P http://petcenter.info/petcenterstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=27&products_id=1041

    T lying on back -- isn't molting

My G. pulchra sling molted a week ago and is fully hardened now. However, I just found her in her enclosure on her back again, but obviously she isn't molting. I've never heard of T's just casually lying on their backs. Any reason for this? Is she just stretching?

How cold is too cold to ship T's?

It gets pretty cold at night here, with a low of 10 degrees tonight. I wanted to order a T after the snow is cleared up so there aren't many risks for delays but I'm figuring that the temperature is still too low. Would a heatpack be much help or is it still too low?

    Versicolor sling stuck in molt?

My A. versicolor sling began molting sometime in the middle of the night last night, and I woke up at noon to find her right side up in the process. It has now been 7 hours and she has not made any progress. One side of her legs is out, the other side is still in the molt and bent over her back...

URGENT - Unpacked sling during molt

I just received a package of three slings from PetCenterUSA, and the A. velutina is mid-molt. I have no idea what to do. I have never dealt with this before. It looks like its back legs are still inside the molt and the entire old abdomen is still attached. The spider is so small, 3/4" and it's...

    LP sling not eating

I'm not worried about the sling starving. I am just annoyed that it's not eating. As far as I am aware it is not in pre-molt; abdomen is a normal size and not darkening at all. It's eaten a few small mealworms here and there since I got it a few weeks ago but now it's been 8 days and it refuses...

    Suspect male Avic. avic

I have an Avic. avic that I think is a male. I would like some other opinions.

    Finally!

Izzy, my big 4" Grammostola rosea sealed herself away to molt 2 months ago and she finally just flipped onto her back! I'm so excited. She's my favorite T, but also my first, so maybe I'm biased. I cannot wait until she's done. I am gonna be taking photos galore.

    Feeding FFF

I am having a hard time feeding flightless fruit flies. I got them for a 1/4" T that I have and they came in the standard tall deli cup or whatever. But I don't know how to get just one out; I open the lid and they all just come crawling out. When I hit the container to knock them down they come...

    Close call

I nearly got bit just now. :D The Avic. avic that I got from the pet store hasn't eaten since I got him, I figured he was still getting settled in. I decided to offer a roach instead of a mealworm like usual and I used my shorter tongs because they have better grip. I put the roach in there...

    Inland Sea Exotics review

http://inlandseaexotics.com/ @Kymura brought this breeder to my attention a bit ago; I had never heard of them before but I knew that I was set to order from them after first checking out their site. Pretty nice selection of tarantulas, mostly slings, at really great prices. The transaction...

    Anyone have Crested Geckos?

I have absolutely fallen in love with these things recently and I am interested in getting one from PangeaReptile.com (However, I probably won't.) But does anybody own one? What are they like? I like to know personal experiences alongside caresheets and all of the basic stuff.

    M/F B. albopilosum

@MassExodus This is the Brachy that was sold to me as a male, but we think is female. I know ventral sexing isn't guaranteed but I figured I'd try anyway now that's she's grown.

    Crappy PetSmart conditions..

Thanks to PetSmart's inability to house tarantulas properly, I have a new Avic. avic on my hands! I saw the little guy and I just couldn't not take him. Kept on huge woodchips with a sponge to drink from and nothing to climb on. He's quite cute, maybe 2" in length. I have decided to name him...

    Meludox's T's

I figured I'd create a thread here to keep track of my current spiders and new arrivals as opposed to making a new thread every time I get one. Here's my first T, Isabella the G. rosea.

    Pinhead roaches - Invasive?

I know that Dubia do not infest homes, and I thought the same about pinhead roaches which are newborn rusty reds but on DubiaRoaches.com's site they say that they can infest. I'm freaking out a little here because I have lost at least two whilst trying to feed my versi sling. I figured that...
