I've just found another moult but I suspect it's a few days old. Chiang Mai, my Chilobrachys huahini, had been hiding for a week or so but reappeared 2 days ago now tonight this exo has appeared so I guess the T has had a clear out of its burrow.

Sorry to but into a who moulted thread, but I have had my baby avic 3 months now. When should I expect a moult. It's about 1-2 inches across.

It`s difficult to say when it will moult again as so much depends on feeding, temperatures etc.

I am probably worrying for no reason, I guess she will moult when ready. How many times in a lifetime? Does it depend on the type of spider?

Unlike scorpions where there is a set amount of moults (6 usually) female tarantulas will keep moulting their whole lives, male tarantulas don't moult once they reach adulthood but so far it's thought that the amount of times they moult differs with species.

I thought I'd start a new thread for people to share stories and pictures of their Tarantulas that have recently molted. I woke up to two this morning...View attachment 28565
