Centipedes still make me nervous. I had one drop on my hand as I was turning on a lamp and bite me when I was 14.
Mind you I wasn't a girly girl but you can imagine how that went.

I'm so sorry to hear that, what a shame. I have a theory about water that may sound a bit far fetched but when I lived in a horse racing yard we often had a few horses get colic around the same time and I believe that occasionally there are germs in the water that make some animals ill.

Atx I am so sorry :(

I wish I lived closer to you, the reptile shop where I buy my crickets from has quite a few 1.5-2" obt slings

Thanks for all the replies. Just wish I could figure out why a freshly moulted baby would go from actively webbing, to curling over dead... Doesn't make sense to me.

We just have teeny ones here, but they still make me nervous too. My cat got bit a couple years ago in our bathroom, still ended up kitty brunch though...and then I found one last year in the basement, and it actually rose up and just sat there staring at me o_O

We have a few descent sized species here. I am sure the thing was 4-5 inches long but in my mind it was over a foot!

And HQ, we KNOW you escaped from somewhere, but we did too, so we don't mind...

We escaped from those freakish NORMAL people...
