My son sent me a text when he went home for lunch. His GBB molted between him leaving for school and lunch. I'll post pics when i get home from work tonight :D Hopefully the molt is intact so we can finally determine sex.

Looks like she built a web hammock on top of the leaves. And the molt appears to be intact.

I hate waiting for my Avics (Versicolor subadult female, sp. Amazonica sling) to molt. They always take ages in premolt (it's been more than 2 weeks already). At least my Versi occasionally still goes out for a wander and toilet break, but the little one just moves from one end of its web den to the other.
I think my LP will molt before them at this rate (or the T. Gigas again, he/she never showed any premolt behaviour the last time, just flipped over and emerged twice the size, lol).

Finally she's moulted, phew!!!! Trip, my p. Metallica has just moulted and still on her back but all appears to be well. I have been so worried about this girl after all the bad moults recently.

January was the month of bad molts, February has been good, 5 good molts for my Ts so far, so hopefully it will keep going this way. Congrats on your successful molt :)

Yes I've had 6 good ones this month. The worry with Trip started a few weeks back when she went into premoult (in January) and started webbing, it seems to have taken her ages to finally get round to it but then I forget she's growing up and these things take longer.

It looks like the nice dark charcoal colors are here to stay with my one aphonopelma T. I knew she looked poised and ready to take down George, my male dubia. lol Now I can try power feeding her some proper gut loaded meals. Goodbye george, it was nice to feed you and take care of you. *hears more crunching* It sounds like she got him under control The roach is still trying run away with the front of it's body, but apparently my T is very patient and hungry. :D So now that pre molt and post molt have ran their courses with this T I can breath a sigh of relief. Maybe when taxes get settled, I'll make space for one more T.

Post moult pic of Trip, my P.metallica.

Yesterday I discovered that the big green guy has moulted sometime in the last few days, my Omothymus schioedtei (formerly Cyriopagopus schioedtei) Tigger. A rehouse is definitely called for now ;)

She'd booted the old exo out and I found it against the door

A. genic molted today. Trashed the molt to. 6 different pieces from one end of the enclosure to the other, guess he was glad to get rid of it. Pics soon as he recovers and comes out of the hide

I have a premolt b smithi sling. Isn't eating now for 3 weeks. But it's behavior is different than last time. Isn't shutting itself in burrow. Instead it has dig like 8 holes in it's enclosure and doesn't use em. Just lumbets around. Has a fat shiny rump and has darkened a lot over past week.

One of my B. smithi moulted recently and it just flipped over in the corner of its container with no hole not even a web mat

Found the smaller B. albo "Moe" molted Monday. Checked him Sunday evening during feeding and he was just hiding in his burrow. Tonight there's a molt way down at the bottom of the enclosure I'll have to wait or him to push out. And his fangs are black so maybe he molted Sunday night after feeding.

That's interesting. Most tarantulas don't eat several weeks before molding. I guess sometimes they do. I am still a beginner.

Oh my sling hasn't eaten for like 5 weeks. I just checked on him during feeding time Sunday to see if he had opened a hole into is burrow to feed. He hadn't yet so i just did water. Then water again on Monday as no hole was open, but i didn't check the spider. Last night i looked in on him as he likes to sit in the bottom of the enclosure near the corner, and saw the molt in there with him. None of my slings eat for like a month at least then molt. I've not seen any of mine eat up until they do the flip.
