They're really going one after the other with you, Sym, lol. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my T. gigas, A. Genic and now also my B. Boehmei to molt.

Absolutely awesome looking T's, sym!! The pulchra almost looks dark green! Very cool! :)

And speaking of molts...I just found one in my P. rufilata's enclosure! :D It was 1.5"...can't wait to see it now! (3 am flashlight raid...here I come!) I was thinking it must've happened last night or this morning, but....the molt looks a little too crispy. Weird thing, too, is I didn't see the molt last night when I went in to feed them at about 11 pm (yes, late night). And my rufilata took the cricket from the tongs. I saw it attack it, and start eating. Now, there's a molt in there this am. Ugh! This sling hiding behavior is making me a little crazy...

So...what I think happened is the molt happened a while (few days to a week) ago, when I noticed it didn't eat the cricket I put in there last week. Then, the T probably moved the molt around, and I just now saw it. So, that's why it would eat last night...I think. lol Unless a Poecilotheria will eat up until the moment it molts (uh, nope)...that must be what happened. I guess.

Speaking of....do any of you have any T's that will keep eating fairly close to the molt? I've heard A. avics will eat up to a few days before they molt, but I don't know for sure -- haven't seen it myself. I have an A. avic with a balding butt and a little darkness setting in. Still eating for now.

Yay, my T. Gigas has just carried its exoskeleton out. He/she's so much bigger than when I got him/her. Beautiful colours, although they don't come out on the photos.

I think I might have to rehouse soon

He/she got a fright from his/her own exo and dashed back down the burrow, lol

Congrats on the moult. That really made me chuckle the thought of it running from its own exo :D

It was quite funny. It was fine with me standing there taking photos, then suddenly spun around in a circle, dropped the exo and ran. It must have been sitting on the molt for at least 2 days, as it looks like its fangs are turning black already. Unfortunately it was too crunched up to sex it. Next time, eh?
