I have a curly and a Fireleg. Is it cool to fill their enclosures 6-8" with substrate giving them 4" to roam on top? I just did it because their "burrowers" but nobody is burrowing. How long will it take? Do I expect to much from a tarantula? Let me know.

I usually set my NW terrestrials up with a "burrow" hide like this, that way i can view them.

That is cool. What is that a rock. What's the substrate? Are your tanks plastic or glass? I think I saw Kenny bought something from you. Do you sell? Sorry about 50 questions I just want to learn all I can.

i use only Cork bark in my T enclosures, its pretty resistant to mold, and i really like how it looks, just gotta check your LPS and find pieces you like, can break it apart easy and get several "hides" or branches for several Ts :).
All but one are in plastic... I keep my H.maculata in an exo terra nano tall.
I loaned Kenny a mature male T for breeding.. I currently just have some Haplopelma vonwirthi females for sale... but thats it right now..

Oh my gosh all these names! Is there some way to understand the breakdown of them. All Latin? Is there a trick?

there are so many common names for just one T, the scientific name is just easier to i.d a T... I've been in the hobby off and on for like. 12 or 13 years.. Its taken some time to get familiar with all the names, just comes with time.
