Staying Hydrated

I have never seen my T by his water bowl, or even on the substrate in his tank, Aragon is always up high (I expected that since he is a tree T) should I be concerned since Iv'e never seen him drink? He's eating great and looks good and healthy, I know they can also get hydration from crickets but still. I saw a couple videos on how to hydrate your T, just wondered if its absolutely necessary in my case.

Arboreal Ts learn where the water dish is usually. It's very possible that yours is only drinking at night...tarantulas can be very secretive.

I've had Karina since Nov, never seen her drink, ever. She's 100% fine. I leave her a water dish, just for my piece of mind :)

Thanks guys for the feedback, I didn't think it was a huge deal but you never know. I feel like Aragon knows when I posts threads about him because literally right after I posted this, I looked in his enclosure and there he was with his front fangs in the water dish lol also what do you guys think about feeding him live meal worms?

If he'll take meal worms there's no reason why you can't. However they can and will burrow into the substrate, so it's very easy for them to get away.

That's what I thought too, when I feed him I am usually very close by so I can keep an eye on the cricket or meal worm in his enclosure, just so they don't burrow or hide in his tank.

You can put the mealworms in a small, shallow dish and put the T in the dish with them. You can also temporarily move the T to a container with no substrate and put the mealworms in with him.

I never thought of doing that I might try that. I tried feeding him a mealworm and cricket yesterday but he showed no interest in eating haha

Moving him back and forth will just stress him out unnecessarily. Just leave a cricket in there for 24 hours, take it out if he hasn't eaten it and then try again in a few days :) You could put the worms in a dish that they can't crawl out of too. I just feed crickets because I find them easier to deal with since I don't tong feed.

Hes been just acting really slow and irritated, I thinks its because he isn't used to his new enclosure, or he may be in pre-molt.
