So how can you tell when a T is ready to moult?

My T doesn't even come out to drink anymore. Maybe the humidity is high enough but I really don't know. She just closed up the entrance to the cave I made for her out of a clay pot with one side removed with some web and coir.

Now I find my curiosity getting the best of me. It's really hard to resist knowing what's going on inside.

a lot of times you can see the new hairs coming in under the old shin making the current skin very dark, also tarantulas tens to stop eating a couple week to a couple months before a molt depending on size. Lastly a tarantula will alsoseal off it's burrow/hide in anticipation of a molt.

Stop eating for sure and close entrance burrow. They also drink more water before a molt as it a apart of the process to assist the separation of of molt as a fluid is present to loosen old molt. Also become more agitated and aggressive as its not a comfortable process, but a delicate one to undergo.

Kenny and Entomology pretty much covered everything, also I can't stress enough, if you're T wants to burry itself in....let it. Your T can always get itself out, don't bother him or her and do not handle him or her, T's are extremely sensitive in pre molt, during, and after molting. Also keep all prey out of the tank, this can irritate your T during a molt as well. Hope to see some pics up! :D
