Plz help i think my red knee may be dying 3

I just noticed what looked like dust on my red knees abdomen, i touched her to try to get it off and part of her abdomen came off! Theres now a small hole where you cann tell her black exiskeleton rubbed off, it liiks like dust. The spot below is bright pink, its a small spot and its not bleeding, couldnt quite find anything to match this online, will she be ok? Any suggestions?

Also now that i touched her i got hairs all ovr my chin, ithy as hell D:

I think you just brushed off urticating hairs. That would explain the itching. Your Red Knee is fine, just a little irritated. leave her alone for a while.

k, are you sure, her exoskeleton has been black since I got her, I rubbed off some of that and you can see a hole(if it were on a human, it would be like a patch of missing skin) thats pink/red inside, its maybe a little less than 1/16'' thick

Sounds like she is in premolt most likely getting ready to shed. That dust was hair that some times they will kick off for defense, but will kick off right before molting in some cases not all the time but I have seen it done . That itching burning was because her hairs got on you. When was the last time she ate

she ate yesterday, she molted just around a month ago

sorry I read it wrong you said it was pink skin thought you said dark. so she is kick hair and sometimes it will appear like dust (if she is kicking up a storm) so that's what the dust is and also why you are itching like crazy.

Yep, you rubbed off her urticating hairs. You're going to be itching. Take a cold shower, try removing some of it with duct tape where you are the most itchy. Maybe take a Benadryl. Good luck.

damn ya, I thought the urticating hairs were just the long hairs that came out the the abdomen, I didn't know they had a whole layer of it
