Hello everyone.
I am a long term tarantula keeper who just stumbled upon this forum.
I live in Washington State, home school, write, crochet and belly dance when I'm not fiddling with or searching for more big hairy spiders.

Currently I have 2 adult female Chilean rose, one adult female Chaco, a sub adult I'm hoping is female N. chromatus, a mature male B. albo a subadult female G. pulchra and five wee sling cambrdigeiis.
And I desperately need an avicularia of some sort.

You know how it goes.
:)

Happy to be here.
Frances

Thanks. It seems like a great forum so far. Very happy to find it. :) And I don't have fabulous photos, but I did rehouse a cambridgei sling last night and she's loving the bigger quarters.

I am also in Washington state. Have you noticed a lack of enthusiasts here?

Hello, I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. I also Bellydance:)
I wish I had more time to do it. I've been dancing for years and years, but if you add up actual dance time, it's probably more like months and months. :) I love your videos. Great to meet you and find the forum.

Yes! Lack of enthusiasts, and enthusiasm. I'm dying to put together a spider group in the area, even if it was just for the occasional get together (even annual) and some online hangouts/meetings, but aside from my immediate circle of spider friends, all I get from WA is an echo.
And I live in the middle of the state where some really cool bugs/arachnids are to be found too.
At least we have great boards to mingle on.
:D

I have 2 friends in my town who have T's, and they are literally the only ones I have found. One of my friends just got me my B&W and he got her at a steal since she was at the pet shop for months.

Thanks. I really am in the middle of nowhere though, so it's to be expected. The trade-off is no traffic, lines or crowds.
I went to the ATS convention in Phoenix before my kiddos were born (I was literally six months pregnant wandering the desert looking for Ts) and it was such a wonderful experience that I wish we had something social up here.
I should probably stop whining and just save up to take the whole family to the event in the future! lol

The forums and the great people on them really do help!
I'm horribly addicted. ;)
