hei guys, yesterday i was cleaning out my brazilian white knees 30x30 exo terra.

i have a peice of drift wood that came with the set up(which was purchased 2nd hand) while brushing away some dirt and stuff i noticed 2 small mites running around.

i have never had any dramas with mites before and have no idea about them

can anyone shed some info on how to get rid of them, where did they come from, do i have to worry about harming my baby? even thou she is a very large girl close to 20cm leg span.

are you sure they're mites, not fruitflies, or springtails?
If they are mites; you want to completely change her enclosure. put all the wood in the oven at 350. and clean everything else with water and vinegar 50/50.
Than you need to thoroughly check your Genic for mites. Check the chelicerae , booklungs, and joints. If she does have mites, but her in an icu and try using a q-tip with Vaseline to smother the mites gently. good luck.
