killing run away roaches

I was cleaning the colony's and noticed that a few dropped off the egg crate. I think I got them all but I don't want them finding a warm place any ideas

Thats exactly why i only feed mine Crickets, lol.. i am not willingly and purposely bringing roaches in my house.

but when you can burn through a 1000 crickets in a week. you start looking for a different kind of food. bearded dragons eat a lot

They won't survive in SD. Fl is probably the only place in the US that they would breed and thrive.
you may just have to catch a straggler here and there.

roaches are cleaner, more nutritious, and virtually odorless. I'll take loose Roaches over loose crickets any day. lol

This makes them difficult to eradicate once they have infested an area.
Cockroaches carry a range of serious illnesses including salmonella, dysentery, gastroenteritis and typhoid.
Cockroach droppings cause eczema and asthma.
Cockroaches produce an obnoxious odour that taints food and objects they come into contact with.
Cockroaches can breed rapidly.They tend to be found in dark, undisturbed areas that are high in humidity.

Im not sure where your from Kenny, but where im from cockroaches can become a severe nuisance. Breeding uncontrollably and costing hundreds upon hundreds to get rid of. Carry diseases and have been known to bury themselves in the noses and ears of humans causing surgery to be the only way to get them out.

Once you have them infested in your home (and ive heard it doesnt take long to cause an infestation) you're pretty much infested for life, lol

That doesn't apply here. That is specifically in reference to wild native(sometimes feral) roaches, whereas the pet trade uses Captive Bred Tropical roaches. Outside of Florida They can not thrive in the US. And they are illeagal in Florida for that reason.

Didn't know all that about roaches...unfortunately it so happens that roaches are one creature that just freak me out!
