Hmm well, I have been posting for a few months previously but yes not much interest unfortunately. I was very exited to have got one person who understood what I discovered in the research and I had to show people that this was genuine stuff!!! I won't feel ashamed no way, I think everyone should feel ashamed too if that's the case and not even look into the research and these incredible discoveries. Instead just pick at me, but I guess it's all part of proving yourself and if you have something to show. Someone with nothing to show would have given up! I'm representing some amazing stuff here and this is why I refuse to shut up and just send to a taxonomist.

I guess I did play a bit of a sympathy thing, but I have been repeating "see the research, see the research" and its ground me down now and I have got nothing else left! The rest will have to come from you! Just I know the reasearch will do all the talking and you will see these are really are a huge species of hysterorcates! I did hear 16 inches and thats no bull! But the fact is they really do have bigger carapaces than T.blondi so surely that must be something to consider? I guess I added that to add to the mystery.. Yea well, I'm that confident in these discoveries and I think the price reflects this! I'm sure anyone would do the same and it's whoever's business who wants to buy one - hercules or not, I doubt there will be anymore chance discoveries like this in our lifetimes so maybe weigh up this over the cost, I guess the offers there and it's up to you if you want to convince yourself from the research and you won't be at all disappointed not in the slightest. The sales will pay for my thai massage sessions that I need lol.

I really did just want to send these straight to a taxonomist like normal people, but after "whitey" had his not confirmed and labelled mearly "sp. Nigeria" I wanted to see and discover for myself what they were and fight for this spider to get it's "C.f hercules" title it deserves!!!

Come on though man, just look at it.. I knew it had to be H. hercules just look at that animal!!! Lol..

Gigas Lol.. come on man

To clear things up I’m not denying that a H Hercules exists. You’ve shown no evidence that what you have is one thou.

Approx 5 years ago whiteys exotics left a comment on a YouTube video of a guy claiming that he had H Hercules and he said himself that they have never been in the hobby and that Hysterocrates is a mess. You’ve basically said in your reply (the quoted part) that you don’t want to take them to a taxonomists because they will identify it as something else. Is that not proof that they aren’t? If you were 100% sure then surely science would prove you right?

Ah thats a fair enough comment and so it may seem as such. Just the spiders I have are H. Hercules absolutely no question about it.. a distant cousin maybe, but all its lineage is from the holotypes line no question. I know there is the d.n.a stuff and I will get a moult to a taxonomist once I have one. I did the research as I know whitey exotics had a Hercules, but it wasn't confirmed as such and mine were the same so me being me had to do my own research and why not! And what a b*** ache lol I think if his specimen was compared to the holotype and new revisions, this would be why and my research shows this. If it was through a d.n.a test then I can't explain this other than it was from completely different habitat. All in all these spiders have on top of all measurement matches to its description two very unique visual features present on them also that was described and highlighted by Po****, now no longer seen on the holotype. I just wanted to give my spiders "a fair crack of the whip" at the taxonomists and highlight things that may even not be known to them about this species! I guess I will wait to see what happens, just sometimes you have to go with your instincts on these things, do your own research and make some incredible discoveries!

Yea, I have sent all this to two taxonomists. I doubt it will be published, but I'm just highlighting some fascinating discoveries that po**** wanted us to find. So take it up with him! Lol Well its all there my friend.. you can see how short its back legs are without even measuring if leg 4 execeeds 1 by half its tarsus, patella and tibia of fourth shorter than 1st and everything else. You have to study this and you will buy the "malarckey"

Mmm I have done as much as anyone have ever had to show they exist. The research is solid gold my friend and you can really learn from it. If you spent literally two weeks on my research all of it will add up..

Yea whitey hadn't done as much as research as me on them. He didn't even realise that the holotypes leg 4 had swollen and lengthened, when Poco clearly says "leg 4 not in any sense thickened".. he had only a little knowledge. Yes the hobby bred hysterocrates are a mess, but with research you really can unravel this mess! You must forget things from the past as none of it's based on fact.. just rumor..

Mmm yea I had a hunch and I went my own way with this.. I knew there were key details missed in its revisions and an innaccurate swollen specimen and I'm supposed to trust this? I can't really add much else, that will be the next move to get them analysed d..n.a wise.. Like I did say, now we can see it's likely it, we can have a mindset to be able to look for its similarities in its d.n.a and not look for differences. Remember we are comparing to a spider from 6/7 generations ago.. well Its good to have at least some interest from you..

I think if you look at whiteys and the holotype in the 'introducton'at the bottom.. you can see we are not a million miles away lol.. have to read the reasearch and all the little bits will fall into place..

You have seen the link to the research?
Anyways
It’s just 2 drawings done by one of your kids I’m assuming and your saying that based on that you estimate the Hercules to get to 16” dls? I think your so wrapped up in your own bs your actually starting to believe it.
That will cost you another £50 my man

Ok so all jokes aside, I have this species.. herc or not.. it's a flipping beast of a spider.. even if it wasn't a herc.. I would still give a grand easy.. screw it.. chances like these won't come, we got brexit, covid.. its up to you my man..

If you do not submit for scientific peer review, then it is not a science paper. Just someone posting on the Internet.
Ah ok, interesting.. I am unqualified as a biologist/taxonmist and I know my research isn't as in depth as I feel would be nessecary for a scientific paper, as I have no access to comparison material. But surely at some point common sense that's backed up by overwhelming evidence comes into it and you wouldn't argue that these weren't H. Hercules. But guess I still need more evidence, its a start though I guess!

Just because you do not have a degree does not mean you cannot get one or find some help in doing a proper research paper to submit to a scientific journal. It may be more difficult but you can get published without having a PHD behind your name. You do not have to be a scientist to learn how to draft a scientific paper.

I get that you have put lots of time and effort and have done much of the ground work, but it will never go anywhere unless it gets actual peer review and interest in the science community. You may even spur another scientist to take your studies further.

We are, after all, only hobbyists; and among hobbyists all you will find is differences of opinions. :)

You have come this far with the research, might as well take it all the way if you think you are actually on to something. Take it to some actual experts and get their opinion on where to go with it.

Ah cool thanks for your message. It's good you understand my situation. I think I will try to follow this up and get some help from someone. Would you happen to know any one in America? I will try to contact those in the u.k. I am thankful for your honest response and opinion, you have helped me feel a lot clearer about things!
