My two slings came today and couldn't be happier.
Absolutely love them even if they are common T's
Love the B. albopilosum, spent over an hour watching it redecorate,
Also got the G. rosea , bold little thing, checked its hide then investigated
every thing in its enclosure, twice!.
Im like an anxious new mom, want so badly to feed them.
Would Sunday be to soon to offer them food?

Congrats, they're really cute. Very likely you just made the first step onto a slippery slope and by next year, you'll have a few more Ts, lol.

And so it begins, lol........ I've only got 9, but I sneaked in the occasional spider by ordering 2 instead of the one I told my husband about, oopsie!
What are you thinking about for your next 2?

Thinking of Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens for color, and Brachypelma smithi (because everyone should have at least one), figure if I have good luck with these then I'll get braver with the next duo ^^

Great choices! I've had two Smithi's in the past. One had a great temper and the other kicked hairs all the time.

I currently have a GBB, she's awesome. Much quicker then any Brachy Ive seen! And they web like crazy. Definitely one of my most skiddish tarantulas though.

Those are good choices. I've always preferred the boehmei myself..they show lots of character..and kick hairs..but they're just stunning..I suspect mine is going to be a male. If he is I'm going to bite the bullet and pay for a mature female before he goes. Definitely my favorite brachy. The vagans are very nice too. And you can never go wrong with the gbb..

ah~! beautiful!
So many I want to have 'someday' just have to do it a step at a time until I feel like
I can give them what they need to be happy. Once I have these a decent size and get the next two,
then....I'm going to get a Lasiodora parahybana. I have dreams of a nice 20L tank set up beautifully for that one ^^

Definitely recommend the Lp...I'm on a serious Pamphobeteus obsession currently. I want a nigricolor, an antinous, a platyomma and especially a mascara..those are a dry/scrubland species , blonde with brown butt and jet black femurs..stunners. I found 1" slings for 200 bucks...Any new species is expensive ..but I'll get some eventually.

Trust me, you'll be there in no time at all. I can tell by the way you talk you're hooked:D Pamphos are easy, and from what I hear, for a big spider many of them are very laid back..and the males are even better looking than the females.:T:

Your Boehmei looks about the same size as mine, which I also believe to be male (couldn't find any "flap" on his last molt). I agree, they're great spiders, very entertaining (digging, fighting with the tongs or water), lots of character and a greedy pig.
My GBB is nice, too, lovely colours and webbing, good eater and always visible. Funnily enough, it has been the only one of my 9 that has ever flicked at me, lol. TBF, it's only little, so it didn't have the desired effect (I was taking its molt out).
If you go for an LP, I'd go for a sling, because it's so nice to see them grow (so fast). Mine arrived at about 1cm leg span and has more than doubled in size in about a year.
