Do tarantulas "play"

K, so i read a few times that T's move around their water dishes and so on so i was wondering if T's like "toys" lol.. kinda weird i know but i also read some people have put ping pong balls in their enclosures and the T's roll them around and stuff. Has anyone ever bought their T a toy? And if so, did they like it? I was gonna put a bottle cap in there to see if it would move it around or anything. Also i wanted to do it because i hardly see my T really move around the enclosure, So i was gonna put the cap in there and see if its moved during the night.

Any thoughts?

Some like to play with human fingers lol. I think they are too lazy to play much but some of mine seem to like it when they get new hides or water bowls .

my question has always been, is it just the females that play with the ping pong balls or is it the males as well? If you look closely when they play with the ping pong balls, it almost looks like they are rolling a sac. I've yet to test it, but I was going to throw one in with my Male LP when he molts.

I have a question, before i got this one, i went to a pet shop and they told me they had a "Northern Gold".. what is that? I cant find anything online that looked like it. It was brown, and when she moved its log in the tank the speed on that thing freaked me out! I went somewhere else after that, lol

Whats the real name of it and what is their attitude like?

Oh ya, comes out alot now since molting thursday Just doesnt travel too far from its hide though. Ive still never seen it drink water, lol.
