Hi there for my next T i have decided to chose between these two. But they both have there pros and cons

Lasiodora parahybana

Pros: gets big, a reasonable temperament, good display, fast growing and good apitite. (if any other pro please feel free too comment)

Coms: Needs a large tank which cost a lot. i know you can use good size plastic tubs with air holes (e.g really useful box's) but then does not display well. ( any other cons please comment)

Brachypelma smithi

Pros: Look amazing. Eats well. Does not need a large tank to display in.

Cons: Can flick hairs.

Others: not too fussed about it growing slow because i can then save up to keep it in nice "display" tank.

Is there any other Brachypelma species that don't tend to flick hairs?

I have a G.Rosea and she seems happy but is a pet rock has not eaten yet. I know this is normal she is healthy and Sub Adult

so any advice between the two would be much appricated

Thanks Alex

Both can be hair flickers. Lp can be kept in a 20gal long, smithi in a 10gal.
Lp is more defensive than smithi, but its all show.
smithi is also a pet rock
My Lp has been premolt since i got her so not very active right now. However the Lp modified her hide to what she wanted and the smithi just moved in and has made no changes at all.
I say just flip a coin.
Better yet, get both.

LPs are one of my all time favorite New world Ts. Big beautiful, hardy, a little more attitude, but well worth it.
B.smithis are so popular for a reason, colorful, bulky, long lived, a little better temper.
Id really say get both, you can get LP slings dirt cheap(10 bucks for a well started one)..

I love my B. smithi. He's a great little T, and I always recommend them. Mine doesn't throw hairs often, and it's always at the tongs when I'm doing something to annoy him, so it's never been an issue. Mine makes a nice burrow under his half log, makes a wall in front of pushed up dirt and webs all around the entrance, so I think he's pretty interesting. I would take a picture but I just moved him to a 10g so he's working on re-building. They get very pretty as they grow, and although they don't molt often, when they are younger they get much bigger with each molt and much brighter. I'm a big fan of them, so I though I would stick my opinion in here. :)
