I feed her 6-8 crickets per month. She is not a very enthusiastic eater and last month she took only 4. So this month I started with 4 but she acted like she didn't even see them. I left them in the cage for a couple of days and then removed them. I'm not worried...she is acting normal, drinks well and is nice and round, plus I know smithis aren't big eaters. Could she be approaching a molt? Her bald patch is still very light in color.

could be approaching a molt, could just be being a Smithi.
word of advice though, never leave a cricket in for mor than 24 hours. An uneaten cricket can and will hurt a T

Sounds like it could be. I am agree with Kenny. Cricket can be evil. In fact, I usually kill them for all my T's except my largest just so I can be sure the little buggers can't hurt my T's.

Yes I've had some of my T's molt within hours after developing the black bold patch and others I waited on for months. Especially some of my Brachys can take their time. But yes, the first molt is always something to be exited about.

I was ecstatic...unfortunately, I missed the actual molt since it occurred in the middle of the night. It was still a thrilling event, though. :)
