Is anyone successfully keeping Stegodyphus dumicola and if so, how are you doing it?

Pretty dry. I have a water dish that is kept full but otherwise it’s dry.

I don't see any emboli. If I turn my imaginator way up I can make the epigastric furrow look like a female but I am terrible at ventral sexing.

Thank you for the information. I did make a slope but I think the pre-made hole is what messed everything up. I'll give it a little more time but may need to coax it out and fill that hole in so it makes it's own.

People love blaming any kind of unknown injury on brown recluse bites. There is no way they could ever “prove” this was a spider bite. I am also fairly certain we now know brown recluse bites are not anywhere near as bad as the media likes to portray.

I’d love to find some H. schmitzi and some huntsman species as well.

Tom's Big Spiders has a podcast about packing and moving spiders, you should give it a listen. I agree that deli cups are probably the best way to go. Less chance that the T can get jostled around and you can easily put it in a bag or something to bring into rest stops and the like.
