Why is my T acting so flighty all of a sudden?

My B. smithi has always been extremely slow-moving and lazy...I can normally touch her and she barely moves at all. Today, though, when I reached in and lifted up the plant she always hides under, she scrambled a short distance. I touched her legs a few times, and it was the same thing. She moved away from my touch in a hurry.

I haven't done anything differently lately. What might be causing this flighty reaction in a normally calm and relaxed T? Many thanks in advance!

I don't think theres anything causing it...sometimes I feel like going outside, and sometimes I feel like just sitting on the computer all day..

Also, you said you disturbed her hiding place, this could be stressful for the T and might have caused her to be on the alert and be a bit more skittish

the main thing is you don't know what is going on in your T's head. you are assuming that its condition into acting normal when you do something and that is something that has never been proven so in short never expect a T to react the same way with the same stimuli all the time

Well, she was her normal sluggish self this morning, so I guess she was having an "off" day. Thanks a lot!
