My pokie slings eat like mad the only time mine don't eat is when there in pre moult. What I want to know is what are your best eaters and do you have slings that are not so good eaters

My Phormictopus species and my Poecilotheria species are easily my best eaters.

As for the not-so-good eaters, my G. rosea and G. pulchripes slings will eat on occasion. :)

I've only got 3 slings: My T. Gigas is probably the best hunter. As soon as it feels the movement of a prey item in its enclosure it starts stalking relentlessly and doesn't give up until it catches is. I shall be calling it Jason, lol.
That said when not premolt (for a long time) my B. Boehmei tends to catch its prey in mid-jump and my GBB is only refusing meals at the moment, it seems to be in premolt. Neither of my slings are keen on prekilled. The Brachy and the GBB eventually take it if nothing else is thrown in but the Gigas just ignores it completely. He/she seems to enjoy the thrill of a hunt.

My 4 Psalmopoeus cambridgei are all beasts on feeding day. My Brachypelma auratum is a lazy hunter and waits untill prey walks into striking range but then nails it with excessive force.

Edit: just realized you said which slings lol 3 of the cambridgei are slings but the other and the auratum are 4-4.25" females.

Ceratogyrus of any age take on prey anytime as long as they are not in premoult. One of my guaranteed feeders if I need to show people. Pokies are usually also quite keen, except for the shy ones like metallica and subfusca

My p metallica used to eat well until he matured he still eats but maybe every other 3 or 4 weeks he's been mature now for about 4 months I was hoping my juvenile suspect female can mature in time I don't think so though I've heard though p rufilata females when a male is introduced females have been known to moult out to purposely mature
