Call me crazy but I think my B. albo sling is in premolt right now... (s)he just molted I believe May 28th, so its been less than a month but (s)he has refused food twice now and I got a look at her bald spot and it looked almost jet black...is it normal for her to molt soo quick? (S)he's about 1-1 1/4"

Jazz, my little Avicularia versicolor, moulted last night. It sits in its web in the lid so I don't often get a good view of it and I'd fed it as usual only to find that 2 hours later it had moulted.

depends on feeding schedule, temps, humidity, etc. That's a fast molt but maybe there was damage from the previous one it's repairing?

I didn't notice any damage but that's certainly possible! It stays around 75-80 in the room (s)he is in and I feed twice a week

Didn't even notice but it seems somewhere between my N. Chromatus molting on Saturday night and today my little OBT sling molted too. Can see the discarded (but sadly out of reach) molt and saw that her toe tips now sport that pretty metalic blue green color. The molt looks to be at least a couple of days old so letting a little cricket run around to try and coax her out. If she eats yay if not I'll snatch the cricket back out. Exciting week so far lol.

Soo I'm sure this can go here. But it seems my LP Olive is going into premolt... put a cricket in her cage annnd....well I think she refused the food. Picture says it all

She chased the cricket from her den and stayed in that posture for a good 20 minutes before calming down and going back into her hide....lol that cricket has to be passing it's self. Back in the cricket cage telling his friends "YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE FANGS ON HER!" and then has to go to cricket therapy for PTSD and cricket AA cause he developed a drinking problem to cope with the trauma of nearly being killed and perhaps even admitted to a cricket mental ward for psychiatric treatment

Another picture I absolutely love! May I steal it for wallpaper? Should have a working pc again first week of July.

Busy weekend here.
Scooter my B. smithi molted Friday. He's starting to get his colors.

Flash my GBB also molted Friday. Can't really see it in the pic but the molt is behind him in the web hammock

Savage the A. genic molted Thursday found him Friday. He likes to cuddle with his molt

Looks like his back leg is fully restored now.

And today my son found that Percy, his pumpkin patch molted last night. Can't get a pic of it with all the web though.

But sadly Popeye, my jumping spider had eaten his last meal. My son found him in a death curl this morning

Just found Duke my N. coloratovillosus molted today. I can't get a pic to turn out to see it, I can just see the shed carapace in his tunnel.

I'm 78% sure my B. albo has molted in the last 48 hours. It's hard to tell because she's completely buried herself and she's only given me a little 1/4 inch window into her hideout, but her fangs looked bright red when I saw her and it certainly looks like there's 2 spiders in there. Hey, maybe she made a friend and is having a sleepover :p
