I went to collect the leftover boluses in my T's cages and found something strange. Thy both have vertical (or near vertical) burrows that I provided them and both get used frequently. Artemis uses her more often then Athena and I frequently see hers webbed off on top with her sitting inside, just under the webbing. While looking for her bolus, I couldn't find it initially out on top of the soil like I would expect, so I peeked down into her burrow. I saw a large flat of webbing on the bottom with a shiny ball of crushed exoskeleton sitting neatly on top. As I pulled it out the webbing came along with it. Attached to the webbing was two large piles of spider poo! She made her own web toilet! Has anyone else seen this? I thought it was fairly interesting.
Athena, on the other hand, always seems to place her bolus at the base of her plastic plant, like she wants to fertilize the thing.
Obviously I'm projecting my own human thoughts onto these behaviors, but I found it quite interesting nonetheless.
