I needed to rehouse several of my babies today. I decided to do the rehouse on my versicolour, Lizzie. Set up the new tank, loving it. Brought Lizzie in to move her. Her web is so thick you can barely see her shadow through it. I separated her web from her enclosure, she stayed in her web, and moved the whole web over to her new home. She crawled out of the web and a fresh molt fell out. She is about halfway through her hardening. Now I’m completely stressed that this will take a bad turn! She is stretched out on her new cork. But has this ever happened to anyone before? I had no idea she had molted this week as she ate her last meal and there is no way I could see through the webbing.

Never had that happen quite that close but just re-housed my Chilobrachys Saraburi and she molted in like a week! I have always been fearful of doing this though or moving them when their that close! Please let us know how he/she does. I think it was a good thing you moved webbing and all though and it crawled out on its own! He/ she stretched out sounds prolly like a good thing. Does the spood look all good visually??? Believe all will be well but these things make you worry nonetheless.

She will probably be fine.
I picked up one of my tiny enclosures to feed/water my littlies last night, and one was mid molt, still pushing off its old legs. I just gently put the enclosure down and hoped for the best.
It isn't ideal for them to be disturbed, but it was an accident, you didn't realise it was happening.

once they're out of the shed they are okay, it's during the actual molting itself they are in danger, because they can be trapped in their shed if startled during molting.

She is in her little cork round. She is looking good, a little stressed but she has just been moved. I think we will be ok!
It’s always a comfort to know I can here with my panic modes and youse all manage to calm me down! Thank you all!

Gosh, that reminds me of getting my D Pentaloris home, rehousing her and she molted straight away. We know how that one went, half a spinnaret. I want to rehouse my Xenesthis but waiting till she firms up. Hope all is well.
