Sadly, after a bad moult in Feb 16, my GBB (Sully 2.0) has finally passed away today. Below is pic. RIP Sully 2.0.

@Enn49, @VanessaS , @LC72uk .....thanks for all your support guys. She was a lovely specimen but for some reason her last moult went wrong, had a couple of shrivelled legs that did not seem to restrict too much but a strange what looked like blue/green fungus you would see on over ripe fruit around the abdomen and spinnerets. Tried cleaning up and changing sub that was new anyway and conditions were all as they should be so really strange it happened to her. Was expected in recent weeks as she had stopped eating and was starting to be really still and sulky. Hope she did not suffer too much in the end.

Sorry man. Sucks to lose one.

On the flip you have room for 2 more GBB slings now ;)

Yeah it does, unfortunately part of the hobby . It would have provided more room if I had not already anticipated the demise following the moult in Feb and bought this a couple of months later.☺

She moulted a couple of weeks ago and so once Sully 2.0's tank is cleaned to an inch of its life, Sully 3.0 will be he new resident. I always use the name Sully for my GBBS (3rd now) as the colours remind me of Sully in Monsters Inc......lol

Sorry for your loss, its amazing how most people wouldnt think twice about killing a spider, yet us in the hobby are gutted when we lose one. I lost a p.metallica sling a couple weeks ago and i was devestated. Like you said though, part of the hobby and unfortunatly unavoidable in most cases.

I don't think twice about killing the pest spiders ;) Found a brown house spider night before last that we think bit my son 3 times on the back. made a nice little gooey spot on the wall to warn all the other's away.

I lost an adult female P.metallica in Feb, She had ruptured her abdomen somehow and was being treated with corn flour and super glue but she died a few weeks later. I was devastated too. Thinking about it now, February was a bad time for me :(
