They are about 5" tall and 3" wide, clear plastic and round with a screw-off top

Anyone use these for slings or dwarfs?
Can't see why not? ... Bug grub jars are popular in the Uk and are Similar to what you describe.... I love the adaptability of being able to turn suitable containers into new homes for a T :)
