p striata appears female

Does anyone have a confirmed female P striata to compare with mine.

I just got her at Repticon because I already have a male P striata. They aren't properly aged enough to breed, but that's not the point.

Hopefully I struck gold this time.



Anyway, enjoy the video!! There's a few other guest appearances as well.

These 2 are of Patrick's abdomen, who is obviously male.

This is Morgana's abdomen. There's a lot less black and more yellow but not dramatically so. The other P striata specimens had the same abdomen as Patrick.

I think the adult colors aren't really there yet, but who knows? Either way, Morgana is just gorgeous!! She's also about only 50% of his size.

She went to the exact same place he did to within a millimeter.

Here's another great video of my male P striata walking around. In this one, he's a lot closer in size to Morgana.

Note the black dorsal stripe here.


I knew I had a better view of him somewhere!! It helps to have him in the right playlist. The red is partially from the overhead lighting, not the tarantula.
