I'd be down for a male haha, I just was looking for the flap and since I couldn't I was just like "am I out of practice or am I just seeing things"

No your not seeing things. I'm not the best at the anatomy of tarantulas but you may be seeing spigots of the epigastric silk glands. These aid in males producing sperm webs. Like I said I'm not saying that is what we are seeing there. Its my guess...I dont know if you can see them after molting? Maybe someone with more anatomy skills will weigh in.
