On a whim, I posted on craigslist that I was looking to acquire some Tarantulas since I did not see any listed in my area. I received this list of what this guy had available. He apparently is a teacher at a nearby school. The T's are in his classroom. This is what he had with pricing:

Indian Ornamental (Poecilotheria regalis) 6" female w/ Exoterra tank $75

Singapore Blue (Lampropelma violaceopes) 5" female w/ tall tank $75

Costa Rican Tiger Rump (Cyclosternum fasciatum) 4" female w/ tank $60

Columbian Giant Red Leg (Megaphobema robustum) 5" female w/ tank $75

Salmon Pink Birdeater (Lasiodora parahybana) 7" female w/ tank $100

Brazilian Red and White (Nhandu chromatus) 5" female w/ tank $75

Mexican Fire Leg (Brachypelma Boehmei) 4" male w/ tank $40

Chaco Golden Knee (Grammostola pulchripes) 6" female w/ tank $75

Orange Baboon (Pterinochilus murinus) 4" unsexed w/ tank $40

Chile Dwarf Flame (Euathlus sp. red) 3" female w/ tank $40

Goliath Birdeater (Theraposa blondi) 6" unsexed w/ tank $50 (has a crooked leg from its last molt but I'm hoping it will be corrected in a future molt)

Do these prices seem reasonable? He says he has more also.

WOW, nice video. I should be able to tell the difference since it is a 6" blondii. I was thinking about getting the C fasciatum also and maybe the Lasiodora parahybana

I would def recommend the fasciatum. Beautiful looking T, little bit of attitude, great feeding response and pretty heavy webbers.

If you would want a big species, I would go with the parahybana, pretty good eater. But as MatthewM1 said, the fasciatum is more colorful. Go get all 3. :)

Yeah there's quite a few good ones on the list. The E. sp red, G. pulchripes, M. robustum, and P. regalis are all pretty good deals as well.

those are amazing prices and are deffinitly reasonable! especially since there are tanks and décor that come with it. if I was you I would take advantage of it now! chances are you may not see anything like that in your area for a long time! if I had the money and was in the area, Id just buy all of them.
