I have an OBT sling about 1.5-1.75 inches who just molted this past Tuesday i could tell because his/her legs are huge now compared to Sunday plus she/he was in premolt for the past week. This is the first time I had a tarantula molt inside a deep hide to where it is almost impossible to view it, I usually feed my T's after a molt after I see that their fangs have harder as well as the rest of their exoskeleton. I just wanted to know how long I should wait until I start feeding him/her again Im assuming a week, just don't want to risk injury.

Hi Miko,

I personally use 10 days as a rule of thumb to feed after a molt. My tiny B. Vagans was in premolt for 34 days and I still only fed it 10 days after its molt. But like you said, they are ready to feed once their fangs have hardened/turn black.

Congratulations on the successful molt. May there be countless more.

Congrats on the molt! I'd also wait 10 days to play it safe :)
