Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forum and to caring for my T! It's pretty exciting! Finally people who understand and don't just judge with the whole "eww a spider, what's wrong with you" reaction!

Anyways. I've already sent my first thread in regards to my T's molting which I am very worried about :(

Kind regards

Hello Jackie and welcome to the forum.
I believe we've all gotten the same response from people when they're informed of the T hobby. 20+ years I still occassionally get " why spiders?" then its " how many do you have?". Lol!
Feel free to ask questions, we're here to help. [emoji3]
Happy T'ing.

I've actually got a really good question and I hope everything is ok..

But after my T's molt.. Which wasn't a pleasant one for him because he got stuck in a tight spot and couldn't roll over and get out.. Everyone on the forum advised me not to touch him.. 2 days later and he was still in the same spot, someone Stated he could most likely be dead because it's been more than 24hrs.. But My gut instinct was to get him out of his burrow.. I notice straight away he was still alive and that he was just stuck.. After I removed him he straight away was able to get out of his molt fully.. Only thing is one of his legs is now broken.. Vegas it was pushed against the glass.. I don't know what do now.. I feel like he is in the same spot all day every day and hardly moves around.. I'll post some pics from the bad molt to now..

You can see the bottom leg that kinda turned green- that's his busted leg.

This was when I had to take everything out- this was day 2 and noticed he was still alive.

Finally out of his molt.

This is him currently. As you can see his leg in the middle just gets dragged along..

I really don't know what to do..

Fortunately these are very resilient creatures, they will self amputate a bad appendage themselves. It will take a couple molts to regenerate a new leg. I would leave it be for a few days, keeping an eye out for any severe mobility problems. I haven't encountered this problem, maybe others can shed more light with their experience.

Okay thank you very much! It's been exactly a week since he's been out.. So I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing...
