Hello names Sam I got a bunch of mealworms and pupae's and beetles and as I was cleaning the pupae container I realised I have no clue what a dead or old pupae looks like and I could really use the help I know with the mealworms if they are black or if the exoskeleton is split in half (molted) it can get thrown out but I don't know about the pupae's

thank you that's the picture I pulled up but a very easy and gross way to tell is simply grabbing the head and gently squeezing it the butt will rotate in a circle if alive also once they get older u can see the antennas moving and also their legs :D if that helps people :T:
