I wont be buying them any time soon, but in 3 months or so I'd like to start collecting all of the Lampropelma and Cyriopagopus genus'. I'm in love with them. They are such beautiful arboreals. And I'd like to go this route instead of the poeci route. I do have some poecis though! I have a 1 inch ornata, and 1 inch pederseni. But I don't think I'll expand on them until I fill my quota with these other two sexy but very closely related genus'.

I'd like to hear your guys and gals take on this though!

I already have some gorgeous L.Violaceopes kicking around! That breeding project will start in roughly a year when one of my oldest males mature.

Tough decisions! Which are you leaning towards, the Cyriopagopus?

I'm thinking maybe a Lampropelma sp. Borneo Black first. One or two of them, then move on to C.Schioedtei, then a Cyriopagopus sp Sulawesi Black.

For some reason the L.******imum looks nothing like either of the Lampropelma or the Cyriopagopus genus.

They are pretty expensive up here in Canada. I'd be looking at for the 3 species I mentioned.... 160 bucks for 3/4 inch slings. So not in a huge rush.

Jamie's Tarantulas has Lampropelma sp. for $64...but I don't know if she ships internationally. Might get one myself someday! :)

Just be careful. As juvies mine have not been that bad. But my adult is a mean sucker. She will not hesitate to throw a threat posture and bite.

Also yeah, to ship internationally I'd need an import/export license, chances are I'd have to buy over 1000 dollars worth of product, and it would probably cost me 450 bucks or so to ship. I'd rather just pay the 40 bucks for a 3/4 Borneo black, the 80 bucks for a Cyriopagopus sp Sulawesi Black, and 40 bucks for a C.Schioedtei. Pretty sure all 3 of my juvie L.Violaceopes are all male! Which means potentially lots of breeding to come. They are all 3.5 inches, 2.5 inches and the smallest 1.5 inches just molted. Looks to be around 2.5 inches now.

Yeah they are just gorgeous. Yours is male? That kinda sucks, but if you can find a female or send him off when hes mature I guess it doesn't suck so much. I am curious as to what the temperament of a MM L.V is. I wonder if they are anything like females. Pairing would be a ***** if so!

I haven't updated my list, but when I sold my MM H.Mac they sent me a 1 inch P.Pederseni, and an Ornata as well as a N.Tripeppi. I think I'm good on pokies until these guys grow up and I get used to them.

I really do like the Lampropelma and Cyriopagopus genus' a lot. They are gorgeous and reclusive and UH, so gorgeous! A lot of people collect certain genus' and stick with them, I think these are going to be mine!
