My rose hair has been acting extremely erratically the past couple of months.

Starting back in February, my rose hair has been acting super strange. She reacts to the smallest vibrations. She will sprint around her location, and sometimes it looks like she is having a seizure. She will pull all her legs up above her thorax and practically have a fit. It reminds me of a panic attack. She hasn't eaten since this started 6 months ago, but she does drink water. Today I attempted to give her a cricket, but when the cricket walked over to her, she did about three 360 turns, attempted to kick hairs off her abdomen, and proceeded to bite the substrate.

I really don't know what to do at this point, and I'm really starting to worry.

Sounds strange alright. I hate to bust out diskinetic syndrome, but it certainly seems like something odd is going on. Do you have any video of this behavior?

So I checked on her today and I found a very violent sight. Sometime during the night she had a fit and lost one of her pedipalps. It looks like a clean loss at the point where the limb meets the thorax. There was a bit of hemolymph in her log, but other than that, i couldn't locate the lost limb.

Wow, I've had T's for 10 years and i've never even heard of diskinetic syndrome. I'm at work at the moment, but from the videos I've watched on youtube, those T's show movement almost exactly similar to mine. God this sucks.

It's a pretty damn despicable thing. As far as I know no one really know just what it is, or what causes it. Or, for that matter, how to cure it. I am very sorry that this is happening. It has been my biggest fear since the day I first heard of it, and every odd twitch sends my heart racing. I can't even imagine what it must be like to find something so horrible happening to something I care so much about.

At this point, and I could be completely wrong, but if she is losing limbs... It just seems like she may be too far gone, but I really hope not. The one "cure" that most people seem to think has the best effect is to put the affected T in a steamy bathroom for a while. It supposedly has a very positive effect.

I am sorry I have nothing of great help to add, but video clips might help some members make a diagnosis.
