Hey there Nemoq and Welcome to the forum. That is one T that I don't know much about but I am sure some of the pros in here will get you off to a great start with some helpful advice. May I suggest doing as much reading as possible, there will be different opinions and such but the basics will be the basics.

3-4" for Grammostola pulchripes (you spelled it perfectly) is considered juvenile/sub-adult. Not a tiny baby, but like a spider teenager. I have a male around the same size and he's in a 10" or so diameter deli. You could also use something like a plastic shoebox. Add ventilation holes around the sides and fill it about halfway with substrate (peat, coco husk, top soil...) and keep it dry with a water bowl and a hide. Easy peasy.

Yeah, we are. =) There is a risk of the tarantula falling and hurting itself. If you filled it with substrate almost to the top it would be safe, but not very pretty.
