lp premolt maybe?

so ive had my lp 2inch sling for about a month now....he/she was eating like a tank untill the past two weeks...woudnt eat anything i threw in.....do they stop eating for 2-3 weeks b4 molting?? or could it be something else?

sound like premolt if they are in premolt then they will not eat, but some times they will not eat one week and then eat the next week. so if its a consistent amount of feeding that he has not eaten the you can assume premolt. you should note that premolt varies with species and size of the T in question. so as he gets older the premolt time could become longer.

also wait about a week or so after molting to feed him they need time to harden up before they are ready to resume normal behavior. if he doesn't eat after a week from molt then that means he is not ready yet to eat. this period ofter molting will also increase in size and varies with species. so if he does not eat the first time then wait a few more days or another week and try again. repeat process until he finally eats.

ok awesome!! les hope he molts soon...been wanted to see him take down some dubias again lol hopefully when i get home after this weekend he is done molting :D thanks!!
