Does anyone else use Jollyes for their live food?

Here in Norwich they are constantly changing their delivery days & each time without notice. And it's not my local store, they only get told at the last minute themselves.

It always used to be Mondays & Fridays. Then without any prior notice it changed to Tuesdays & Thursdays. Then last week I was told it's back to Mondays & Fridays. Now today it's Tuesdays & Fridays. And all of this within a year.

The problem is, if you leave it until the next day, they have very little stock left. But if they are constantly & without notice changing delivery days, then how can I rely upon them. I would order direct, but I use differing amounts of different sizes. So being able to go in & pick up the required sizes is preferable. With dead crickets taken into account, we get through 3 or 4 tubs most weeks. With an occasional 2 tub week.

My local pet store uses peregrine live foods, they deliver to him every Thursday morning. When I'm ordering the guy takes what I've ordered home with him and I pick it up late in that night because of working hours for me. Pets at home are like what you said though every time I use them they tell me there delivery day is different.

I live slightly closer to Pets at home than Jolleys. Both are only a 5 minute drive away. But pets at home always have too many dead crickets in tubs for my liking. Even just after delivery.

I also have a reptile shop halfway between me & Jollyes that I have used. But their cricket sizing is too random for me. Having to put multiple smaller crickets into an enclosure means I end up with crickets loose around the house as air holes are sized for the T, not what it eats. Plus multiple smaller crickets makes it harder to remove any that are uneaten.

What I've noticed with pets at home too is they sell banded crickets (silent crickets) and brown crickets, but it's a hit or a miss with what they have, when they have the banded ones they seem to doo quite well but the standard brown crickets are lucky to last a week. They also have the black field crickets but I stopped using them years ago had a few T's die and that was the only difference that I made at the time, still don't know if that was the cause but I haven't used them since.

I use Swell Reptiles and have for years. I usually receive mine 2-3 days after ordering and they too come from Peregrine and are always fresh and well packed with plenty lively bugs (although they are currently out of Dubias).
