Hi everyone.
I've been here for a few weeks so I thought I better introduce myself.
My name is Stuart and I live in South Wales. I grew up with exotic animals and always wanted a spider, They are fascinating. About 2 years ago my stick insects finally passed and I wanted to fill the gap, I realised that Tarantulas are quite cheap if you get the slings and they don't take up too much room. I wanted to get one, but needed to know what I was doing beforehand. I spent about a year researching and went for a Tliltocatl Vagans for my first sling. I have had her since Feb 2004 and is now a Juvi and doing very well indeed.
I have now been into spiders for 2 years and have a nice little collection, 20 tarantulas and 3 true spiders, (including old worlds) as well as various other insects, cockroaches, millipedes...
I am not into handling my T's unless they climb onto me, then I use that opportunity to take a picture if they are not running over my head and across the carpet.
I love this new hobby and love learning more and more, I spend most of my time researching still as everything is constantly changing.

A couple of my babies. My Tliltocalt Vagans juvi, Neoholothele Incei Gold juvi and my Lasiodora Parahybana juvi.

Love it bro, is that a typo or has it really took since 2004 to grow a T Vagans to juvie size. I don't deliberately take a T out to hold it but if the opertunity presents itself I handle all my T's even old world, obviously extreme caution is advised with the old worlds, even some spicy new worlds to be fair. Welcome to the forum.
Also there is a comp running right now on here should post a photo for a chance to win..... The thread is on the homepage if you can't see it let me know and I will post the link.
