Hi my name is Elaine i own 8 tarantulas. I recently lost one of my first tarantulas, Phobia my 3year old red leg. This is in her memory.
Thank you so much I'm absolutely heart broken. I feel like no one understands how I could love a tarantula so much.my deepest condolences for your loss.
You're welcome, what was the cause of death btw?Thank you so much I'm absolutely heart broken. I feel like no one understands how I could love a tarantula so much.
I honestly don't know. She had just molted the week before successfully and seemed fine. She was moving around in the morning and I found her dead in the evening there was no obvious reason I could see. It was so unexpected, not knowing why is making it harder to deal with. You're welcome, what was the cause of death btw?
Are you sure it's a female and not a male? did you raise it from sling?I honestly don't know. She had just molted the week before successfully and seemed fine. I'm constantly checking on my others, I'm constantly trying to figure out what I may have done wrong.
Thank you so much for talking with me. I really appreciate it and I feel a lot better now.It doesn’t sound like you did anything wrong. Sometimes things happen during molts. They often are not things you can see and it being a week after molt it seems like that may have been what happened. My condolences and welcome.
Did it have pedipalps looking like boxing gloves? I am very sorry for your loss, regardless of how many one might have it is still painful to loose something you cared for and saw growing from baby.I had her since she was tiny. I was told she looked female but I'm not 100%.
She was 3 years old. Would that be average if she was male.
