I heard you could tell the gender of your tarantula by seeing from the underneath

That looks female to me. There is an "opening" and the furrow has somewhat of a Crescent shape. :) The only 100% way to tell is via molt, though. Also, book lung spacing will sort-of give you an idea. The top two book lungs are usually further apart with females and closer together with males.

Ok are females better than males or is it the opposite
