Hey there, I'm DontFearSpiders—though I have to admit, the name's a bit ironic considering this awesome site is all about tarantulas! I’m based in the Western Cape, South Africa, which, sadly, means I’m not allowed to keep tarantulas here. Still, that doesn’t stop me from loving these incredible creatures!

At the moment, I have a lovely brown widow named Nyx, and I’m excited because I’m hoping a new member will be joining the family soon. While I may not have a tarantula, I absolutely adore them and dream of having one someday.

Looking forward to connecting with fellow tarantula enthusiasts here! ️✨

It's actually worse for them to keep native T's, it only seems to be the province of Western Cape, South Africa that's as bad. It seems to be more lenient in the other provinces of SA.
Sally this is exactly how it is but I'm trying to find some loopholes somewhere. Some people keep dwarf tarantulas because they're "not real baboons"? But I'm not so sure of that information, but I did contact Cape Nature, they haven't gotten back to me but hopefully they will soon

Meanwhile I'm learning everything about tarantulas that I can.
