HELP! Tarantula identification

Hi there,

About two years ago I bought a Peruvian Blue Zebra tarantula. It’s been really cool but at this point I’m confused why it doesn’t appear “blue”. I’ve attached a picture of the spider, and my question is: is it possible I was given a different species? Do these spiders take longer to reach a blue color?

Any help is appreciated!!

Homoeomma sp Blue Peru is the scientific name for Peruvian Blue Zebra. You can Google that to see pics. How large is the T?

Yours almost looks like Cyriopagopus sp. (Sulawesi Black)

It’s about 6 inches. I’ve seen various pictures of the Blue Peru online, and they seem far more “blue” than mine.

I also bought it as a sling, I’ve had for around 4-5 years now? Pretty fast growth rate! At some point as a sling it molted 3 times in 8 months O:

Lesson number 1; never count on the nick name get the Scientific name of the species in question. If the person sellin it cant tell you, just say no. They will most likely try n upsell it w things like "most likely female" or "female" and give you a higher price tag.

With that said that is one cool lookin Tarantula! Im proud of you!
