Hi all,
I'm obviously new to the hobby, since i'm introducing myself, right?

My son started raising a sling GBB as a school project to study it and got me interested. We now have his GBB, Marley, it's currently 2.5" and getting ready to molt. He also has a .75" fire leg, Koby, I gave him as an early xmas present 2 weeks ago. And I just got myself a .5" b. vagans, Redrum (great name right? word play on Red Rump, and murder backwards for all those crickets and roaches he's going to devour).

I was hesitant at first but watching Marley grow from a .5" sling to the 2.5" ish T he is now, has been, for lack of a better term, awesome.

I've been reading these boards for tips and help and whatnot for the last 8 months or so, and decided to join as this is my first T. :)

Hello Kormatch and welcome to the forum- the GBB is my prized baby it's the most fun to watch and they're stunning to look at so great pick with that one. Love the names too...You've got off to a great start, I'm sure it won't be long until you're back telling us about another new babe.

Thanks Sasy and Kymura!

I'm a bit intimidated on the size of Redrum, as Marley and Koby were both .5-.75 when we got them, I was amazed to see how much size difference there is from the .25 to .5.

For the names - Marley was named after Bob Marley, one of my son's favorite musicians. Koby was named after his favorite cat that passed away this summer (17 years old, my son is 16 and he grew up with it literally).

I'm looking forward to my next T coming this spring. Where I live in a cold climate I'm hesitant to order them during the winter (we have a high today of 15F, yesterday was 6F). I've caught the fever and find I have to force my self from clicking the order button for a smithi sling, I just love their coloring. Maybe if we get a warm spell after the holidays.... :)

I've been trying to forget about the heatpacks :) next thing you'll know my son will be sleeping on the couch and his room with be the T room. I've only ordered T's from backwater reptiles (Marley) and Ken the Bug Guy (Koby and Redrum). I always use the overnight shipping with live delivery guarantee. It's the only reason I haven't ordered a T from Jamie's Tarantula, I don't trust the 1-3 day shipping through the USPS she uses, especially as my containers and roaches I ordered are late now...

Ah, the U.S Postal Service... The brain child of one of our greatest minds, Benjamin Franklin and apparently currently operated by the 3 Stooges... Sorry to hear you may have fallen into the black abyss that is the USPS Lost in Transit. How everything work's out for ya
