Hi everyone :)

I don't have any T yet, but I liked them since I saw first one at primary school. They look very interesting and have some kind of mystical aura to them.
I hope that this year in spring or summer I will finally have the opportunity and right conditions to get one. I'm here to learn about them, read about various topics including care, species and possible problems. I will also ask questions if needed :)
I still consider myself a girl at the age of 28 :) I live in Slovakia.
My hobbies are nature, reading, social sciences, philosophy, watching funny videos on yt, learning about various cultures, eating and swimming :)

Welcome aboard! I would be interested to learn how the hobby fairs in Slovakia? Do you have a good supply in local pet stores or like us in the States, do you have to order online?

Hi Denny,
I'm not the right person to answer because I don't have a tarantula yet so I don't have enough experience.
But because I live in a small town, there are no tarantulas in local pet shops. I'd have to travel to another city to get one, so I plan to order online.
Fortunately, they sell live crickets here so I will be able to feed it.
There are also no enclosures for tarantulas here. I mean those made of glass with secure closing lid. You could order it in a local shop and they would get one for you, but obviously, it's easier to buy online. If you wanted just a plastic box, than you could buy it easily in any Chinese shop :)
This is how it goes in a small town with population 18,000. People living in larger towns may be able to buy these things locally.

Understood. Well, you have come to the right place. Wealth of information on this forum to assist with all your questions on species, feeding and enclosures. Do you have a first species in mind?

I like Brachypelma Smithii as my first spider. Than, if I decide to get a second one, it could be Greenbottle blue.
Can you recommend any good online sources for buying them? Or does anyone here on the forum have one for sale? Preferably someone from Europe. It would be probably sometime in April-June, can't tell exactly yet.
