Good morning and greetings from Idaho. I am glad to see that Josh jumped into the T world.
while I am in no way an expert I have a few hairy friends. I you can see, I keep new world tarantulas and those to be fairly docile at that. All of mine are adult females with the exception of a couple of G. rosea slings and a B. albopilosum.
In terms of husbandry, at first I tried to keep to the letter of law in terms of temps and humidity. In Idaho, keeping both up are difficult so from time to time my room gets a little cooler than recommended and less humid than recommended and like many of my other critters, my fanged friends seem to do fine.
Here is what I currently have:
Brachypelma albopilosum – Curlyhair
Brachypelma smithi - Mexican Red Knee
Grammostola pulchripes - Chaco Golden Knees
Grammostola rosea – Chilian Rose
Aphonopelma sp. - New River –
Grammostola inheringi – Entre Rios
Avicularia metallica
Lasadora parahybana
