Good luck :( That's a mexican desert species, right? Maybe try creating an easy to reach hot spot with a heatlamp/pad or something and keep the rest of the house cooler, and put a half-log and wet sponge in the hotspot to keep him there once he finds it. With just a sponge you're out of luck unless you happen to be watching it the exact time he finds it.

Also, do a daily check in/under and sinks and under the refrigerator. It may be drawn to wet or warm places.

Reminds me of when my OBT. juvie escaped went about 1 month no sign of it. then one day when rehousing my versicolor I picked up her enclosures and low and behold the OBT had setup shop underneath it. I was overjoyed so was wife lol.

I am sure it will eventually show up just do not leave any doors to outside open. You will eventually find it in some odd ball location when not expecting it.

How big is it?
I had lost a 3 inch boehmei once.
After 2 months it showed up.
That is after I left the cover of the dubia colony open. She was trying to get one. Try leaving the feeders containers open. :)
