Hi all I've just joined today.
I was wondering if anybody can help my first ever tarantula has just died and im so upset and really don't know what to do with him... Could anybody give me any ideas?

I mainly just bury mine, some people preserve them, though I am not sure how.

Yeah I wasn't sure if you can bury them... And I would like to preserve in resin or something but cannot find anybody who does it

Sorry to hear you have lost your T
If you are in the UK there's a lady thats a taxidermist and specialise in tarantulas - I believe the company name is 'dead set' if you google it? You need to put it in the freezer for now though if you want to preserve it in anyway as it will deteriorate very quickly otherwise -

Thank you so much for this information. Got in touch with them and I'm sending him off tomorrow. Can't wait to get him back they are even going to put him on his piece of bark he loved.

I can't speak from my own experience, but here's some ideas that you might consider. I've seen pricey insects sold in gift shops as paper weights that look very good. I think that they were in clear liquid acrylic. There's probably other methods too. Start here and do a YouTube search. Here's a diy instructional. I would practice on something you don't mind messing up before trying it on your pet. Like anything, there's going to be a learning curve before you get good at it.
